Bonjour, je m\u2019appelle Stephanie et je suis la Charg\u00e9e de projet pour la Fondation qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise des V\u00e9t\u00e9rans.<\/span><\/p>\n

Que fait votre organisme ?<\/span><\/h4>\n

La Fondation qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise des V\u00e9t\u00e9rans (FQV) offre un soutien concret aux v\u00e9t\u00e9rans lors de leur transition \u00e0 la vie civile. La FQV finance des programmes offrant des services directs aux anciens combattants en soins de longue dur\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019H\u00f4pital Sainte-Anne et aux v\u00e9t\u00e9ranes et v\u00e9t\u00e9rans souffrant de blessures li\u00e9es au stress post-traumatique ou vivant des \u00e9pisodes d\u2019itin\u00e9rance et de d\u00e9pendance.\u00a0La FQV croit fermement que les femmes et les hommes qui ont servi leur pays, devraient tous ressentir de la fiert\u00e9 et pouvoir continuer \u00e0 contribuer \u00e0 leur communaut\u00e9 dans le contexte de leur vie civile.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quel impact a eu la pand\u00e9mie ?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Les programmes que nous finan\u00e7ons sont tous bas\u00e9s sur une pr\u00e9sence en personne.\u00a0 La pand\u00e9mie nous a oblig\u00e9s \u00e0 r\u00e9agir rapidement et \u00e0 essayer d’\u00e9voluer vers une offre de programmes plus virtuelle.\u00a0 Nous avons achet\u00e9 des iPads pour les v\u00e9t\u00e9rans en soins de longue dur\u00e9e afin de pouvoir chatter en vid\u00e9o avec leurs proches ; les cours de yoga th\u00e9rapeutique et r\u00e9cr\u00e9atif sont d\u00e9sormais propos\u00e9s via Zoom.<\/span><\/p>\n

Comment les webinaires Konect m\u2019ont aid\u00e9 ou ont aid\u00e9 mon organisation durant la pand\u00e9mie ? Quelles nouvelles mesures avez-vous mises en place ?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Les webinaires Konect ont \u00e9t\u00e9 essentiels pour nous aider \u00e0 affiner nos connaissances sur Salesforce, ainsi que sur les tactiques et strat\u00e9gies de collecte de fonds.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quels apprentissages avez-vous tir\u00e9s de cette situation?<\/span><\/h4>\n

La pand\u00e9mie nous a ouvert les yeux sur l’importance de pouvoir offrir les programmes et les services que nous finan\u00e7ons par le biais de multiples m\u00e9thodes de prestation, y compris des services virtuels et en personne pour aider \u00e0 atteindre les anciens combattants aux quatre coins du processus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le passage du travail en commun au bureau au travail virtuel \u00e0 domicile a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 renforcer les liens qui nous unissent en tant qu’\u00e9quipe et nous a appris que presque tout est possible, quel que soit l’endroit o\u00f9 l’on se trouve.<\/span><\/p>\n

Que peut-on vous souhaiter pour la prochaine ann\u00e9e ?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Au cours de l’ann\u00e9e prochaine, nous esp\u00e9rons conserver nos g\u00e9n\u00e9reux donateurs et d\u00e9ployer des efforts pour construire notre base de donn\u00e9es.\u00a0 Les donateurs sont essentiellement dans le financement continu de nos programmes actuels et nous permettent d’\u00e9tendre et d’aider plus d’anciens combattants \u00e0 travers le Qu\u00e9bec.\u00a0 Nos v\u00e9t\u00e9rans ont fait d’innombrables sacrifices pour nous garder en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et c’est \u00e0 notre tour de les aider.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who are you?<\/span><\/h4>

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I am the Project Manager for the Quebec Veterans Foundation<\/span><\/p>

What is your organization mission?<\/span><\/h4>

The Quebec Veterans Foundation (QVF) offers concrete support to veterans during their transition to civilian life.\u00a0 The QVF finances programs offering direct services to veterans in long-term care at Ste. Anne\u2019s Hospital and to male and female veterans suffering from operational stress injuries or experiencing episodes of homelessness and addiction.\u00a0 The QVF strongly believes women and men, who have served their country, should all feel pride and be able to continue to contribute to their community in the context of their civilian life.<\/span><\/p>

What impact has the pandemic had?<\/span><\/h4>

The programs we finance were all based on a face-to-face presence.\u00a0 The pandemic forced us to quickly react and try to move towards a more virtual program offering.\u00a0 We purchased iPads for the veterans in long-term care to be able to video chat with the loved ones; the therapeutic and recreational yoga courses are now offered via Zoom, are just a couple of examples.<\/span><\/p>

How have Konect webinars helped me or my organization during the pandemic? What new measures have you put in place?<\/span><\/h4>

The Konect webinars were essential in helping to fine tune our existing working knowledge of Salesforce, and fundraising tactics and strategies.<\/span><\/p>

What lessons have you learned from this situation?<\/span><\/h4>

The pandemic has opened our eyes to how essential it is to be able to offer the programs and services we finance via multiple delivery methods, including virtually and in person virtual services to help reach veterans across all four corners of the process.<\/span><\/p>

Transitioning from working together in the office to virtually from home has helped to fortify our bond as a team and taught us that almost anything is possible no matter where you\u2019re located.<\/span><\/p>

What can we wish you for the next year?<\/span><\/h4>

Over the next year, we hope to retain our generous donors and deploy efforts to building our database.\u00a0 Donors are essentially in the continued financing of our current programs and allow us to expand and help more veterans across Quebec.\u00a0 Our veterans have made countless sacrifices to keep us safe and it is our turn to help them.<\/span><\/p>
